Little Norse Preschool
Welcome to Little Norse Preschool! Housed at Metro North Elementary School, Little Norse is a high-quality preschool that offers the best in early childhood education.
Little Norse Preschool was the first school-based preschool in Wabash County to receive a Paths to Quality rating of Level 3, recognizing our curriculum, investment in our professional development, and our focus on families.
Our Littles create, connect, pretend, explore, sing, dance, and build, all while learning about their world in a developmentally-appropriate way that best prepares them for kindergarten and beyond. Our Littles staff collaborates closely with kindergarten to align curriculum and to ensure the strongest foundations are built. As a Little Norse your child will build relationships with their future teachers and prepare for a successful transition into kindergarten.
Enrollment for the 2022-2023 school year is now open for children who will be age 3 or 4 by August 1, 2022. Spaces are limited so families are encouraged to register soon.
Days & Times
Little Norse follow the regular school year calendar. They attend Monday through Friday for either a full or half-day. Students arrive around 8:00 am each day. Half-day students end their day around 12:00 pm, while full-day students stay until 3:00 pm.
Tuition for either full or half-day attendance is only around $17/day, making the Little Norse one of the most cost-effective early childhood programs in the area!
Little Norse in our Four's Program are taught by licensed teachers. This ensures your child is being taught by those who have been extensively trained to work with young children.
Quality Teaching Assistants
All of our teaching assistants are highly qualified, a state-recognized qualification.
Community of Learners
Our Littles benefit from interacting with other Metro North students and staff which creates a rich learning environment.
Littles in the Four's Program participate weekly in Art, Music, Library, and PE. These specials provide an opportunity for exercise and self-expression.
Busing is provided for students in the Four's Program. Per state law, all of our Littles are buckled into their seats using 5-point harnesses.
Our Littles enjoy study trips to learn more about the greater community.
Nurses on Staff
With trained nurses on staff, basic health care is always available.
Our Early Childhood program is designed to ease students into a regular schedule. This is perfect for those children that aren't quite ready for kindergarten.
Tuition grants are available for qualifying families through On My Way Pre-K and the Child Care Development Fund.
